High quality hot smoked eel fillets prepared to order for us by Severn & Wye smokery.

Severn And Wye has the Royal Warrant and is one of the most reputed smokeries in England.

The texture of the eel melts in the mouth and we feel the smoking is just right and not too heavily smoked.

Smoked eel fillets are best enjoyed served at room temperature with either horseradish paste or a few drops of lemon. And perhaps some lightly toasted and finely sliced rye bread.

With regards wine pairings, a chilled Sancerre would work perfectly!

A few other ways to enjoy smoked eel are

  1. Smoked eel with scrambled eggs and chives on toast – a recipe from Scandinavia and Denmark.
