Description

A very good quality duck confit in four portion tins prepared for us by La Belle Chaurienne in Castelnaudary, South West France.

Each tin contains four duck confit legs and has 3 years life (can be stored in a cupboard). 100% natural and gluten free.

Confit de canard is a traditional French delicacy made cooking duck legs very slowly for hours at low temperatures in their own duck fat so that the meat is preserved in the duck fat. The very long cooking process makes the meat very tender.

La Belle Chaurienne are one of France’s most well known and reputed brands of confit de canard and have been preparing them since 1964.

Cooking Preparation Tips

It’s worth placing your tin of La Belle Chaurienne confit de canard at room temperature a couple of hours before use to loosen the duck fat so it’s easier to remove the duck legs from the tin.

Once done remove from tin brushing off any excess fat and place in an oven dish.

Pre-heat oven to 180c and place your confit in an oven for circa 25 minutes until crisp and golden brown.

Confit goes well with roast potatoes, a side salad, lentils, cassoulet beans, braised red cabbage …
