About this product
Outstanding duck rillettes prepared by Castaing in the Landes region of South West France.
What are rillettes? A sort of pate really, but the texture is more akin to pulled pork or shredded duck – quite fatty in a nice way – and very spreadable – making them ideal to add to sandwiches and canapes.
Our duck rillettes are 100% natural (just duck meat, duck fat, shallots and seasoning) and some of the best we have tried.
Duck rillettes make a tasty and easy to prepare cold starter for two served on some lightly toasted bread served with a side green salad.
Rillettes also work well on canapes as they are very spreadable and also make lovely sandwiches – especially with baguette.
