Cooking Preparation Tips

Rehydrate dry morels 45 minutes in tepid water and rinse well before use.

When rehydrated, the dried morel gains 3.5 times its weight. 10 grams of dried morels are therefore equivalent to around 35 grams of fresh mushrooms.

Dried morel mushrooms then need to be heated up or cooked before to be consumed and for best results sautee them in a pan and use to make morel mushroom sauce.

The morel lends itself to a whole range of culinary creations! Use it to add a festive touch to a risotto, for example, or to chicken in cream sauce. Rehydrate in warm water for about half an hour, then rinse well. Please note: morels MUST be cooked before consumption.
