Grade EXTRA (the best quality available) dried morel mushrooms of exceptionally high quality.

The morel has a nutty taste combined with rich woody aromas. This bouquet of flavours and its rarity make it one of the most sought-after mushrooms among gourmets. There are several varieties of morel but Morchella conica is the most prized for its amazing flavour.

Our supplier (Plantin) has a France and world wide reputation for quality and supply Michelin starred chefs, and these dried morels are superb.

Cooking With Dried Morel Mushrooms

Rehydrate dried morels 45 minutes in tepid water and rinse well before use.

When rehydrated, the dried morel gains 3.5 times its weight. 10 grams of dried morels are therefore equivalent to around 35 grams of fresh mushrooms.

Dried morel mushrooms then need to be heated up or cooked before eaten. For best results fry them gently in a pan and use to make morel mushroom sauce.

The morel lends itself to a whole range of culinary creations! Use it to add a festive touch to a risotto, for example, or to chicken in cream sauce.
