With Christmas and New Year just weeks away, our foie gras sales have as usual increased substantially, and with it some common questions, to which our answers below!
Will My Foie Gras Be In Date If I Order Now For Christmas 2024/ New Years Eve? Yes. All foie gras listed have best before dates of at least February 2025 and in most cases well beyond this.
When Should I Order My Foie Gras? We encourage ordering as early as possible as we invariably run out of some varieties (especially the mi cuit) as we approach Christmas as we hold lower stocks of these. We are doing our best to hold substantial supplies but it’s always difficult to get right!
When Must Final Orders Be Placed For Christmas/ New Years Eve 2024? We will be closing for the Christmas/ New Year period this year and last orders need to be placed by Monday 18th December. After that we close. However to ensure stock availability, we strongly encourage ordering much earlier than this.
How Should I Store My Foie Gras? You can always email us if in doubt, but generally if the foie gras is in a tin or jar with 2 years life or more, a cupboard is fine. If it has 1 year life or less, these varieties need to be stored in a fridge. If in doubt, just store it in a fridge.
