Pot-au-feu is a traditional French dish of slowly boiled meat and vegetables in bouillon, usually served as two courses: first the broth and then the meat and vegetables. The dish is familiar throughout France, and has many regional variations. The best-known have beef as the main meat, but in this case it is prepared with duck.
Tasting Notes: a very natural dish, the stock has a delicious taste and the tender meat and vegetables are top quality, taste very natural indeed (really like a home cooked dish) and it is something a little different as many of the dishes in our range come in thick sauce.
The only way we could describe it is as an old fashioned dish, which takes you back in time!
Preparation Tips: pour contents into a saucepan and warm very gently. Serve with boiled potatoes.
Duck stock, two duck legs, carrots, cabbage, duck gizzards, turnips, leeks, pork, wheat, celery, salt, pepper.
