A recent addition to the Perard range, which we have sampled and happy with! So a little about this langoustine bisque!
It has a deep colour, the smell when you warm it up and taste when you eat it is overwhelmingly of crustacean and it is very seafoody with a fine and rich flavour. The sort of soup you would be served in a French seafood restaurant in France.
We tried this soup several different ways and our conclusion is that it is best served very hot with fried bread croutons.
Despite the name of Cognac at less than 0,5% we could not really taste this and found it was langoustine above all we could taste.
And like all the Perard range it is 100% natural and gluten free. Shelf life circa 2 years in a cupboard.
Water, langoustines 17.8%, fish , corn starch, onions, cream , tomatoes, natural flavourings, white wine, natural langoustine flavouring , cognac 0.22%, salt, aromatic plants, garlic.
Storage:
Store at room temperature up to 2 years. After opening: Store in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours.
Shake the jar well before opening. Reheat the bisque without boiling. Serve it very hot and stir in some fried croutons before enjoying it.
